Summer for Vauxhall has arrived a little speedily, The fastest car to carry the new-look Griffin Badge is just out, a potent 6.2 litre VXR8 priced at £36,595.

This 170 mph plus, 424bhp super-saloon monster has a full range of engine modifications to optimise the new level of power, including high-flow cylinder heads, new pistons and an enhanced valvertrain. The VXR8’s 0-60mph time has been shaved down to 4.9 seconds for the automatic version which carries the same price tag as the manual version.
