Dear Honda,
I am suprised with the service that you supply to potential buyers of your new/used cars.
Over the weekend I had several conversations with one of your salesmen at the Manchester site (Gary). I explained my current situation and he assured me that he could resolve my issues with the outstanding finance on my audi a4 and I would be able to Puchase a Honda Civic which I had viewed on the forecourt at Arno;ld Clark Manchester.
On Monday the 15th March I went into the showroom to discuss the arrangements with Gary where we sat daown and he came up with figures which was satisfactory and suitable. On the same day I wanted my partner to see the car before I finalised the deal.Late that afternoon I returned to the showroom with my partner and agreed that we would like to purchase the car. We went into the showroom talked to the salesman and he said we could possibly pick up the car the following day. We requested to have bluetooth fitted to the car and we would like some advice on how this would be fitted. The salesman promised to ring me the following morning with this information. By noon the following day I had not been contacted so I rang the showroom to talk to the salesman, I was told he was busy with a customer and would return my call. By 15 hundred hours my call had not been returned so I rang the showroom again Gary was still not available once again I was assured he would return my call. Phoned again at 1630 hours Gary still not free finally I received a call from Gary 1700 hours. Gary is now telling me over the phone that the finance is not in place and I cannot collect the car on the 17th. He has now discussed alernatives over the phone which I stated I would need time to review. He aked me to call him that evening as he was in the showroom till 8. We tried calling the showroom from 1800 hours and nobody answered the phone for several hours at this stage we gave up and felt that the deal was no longer on the table. At 2015 we had a phone call from Gary and he asked me to go into the showroom the following day. I feel I have be mistreated and badly advised and at this moment I have not decided whether to make the appointment.

I purchased a car from Arnold Shark in Stretford, or thought I had. Signed all the paperwork, paid deposit, sales rep phoned to say the finance had been approved, went to collect the vehicle to be informed that they were not prepaired to sell the car at the agreed price and informed me I could still purchase for another £480 on top of the agreed price. Threatened with legal action to the response of “so go on then” Is this legal?? In the meantime I had arranged & paid for new insurance and cancelled my old policy. Is this some con to get you in, purchase a vehicle and then charge you more? Arnold Clarke’s big sale, big rip off more like. Beware of these cowboys.

Service department: Useless - they messed up and didn’t have a courtesy car (as arranged) for me when i arrived for my service. Then they asked if i needed a car!? They booked me in for a different date, didn’t mention it was a different car, then took 2 hours, countless phone calls, 2 staff and a lot of attitude to find out the exact model of the courtesy car for my insurance company. All without ever giving an apology.
