Generally the decision of whether a person opts for a brand new or second hand vehicle usually depends upon the budget they have to spend on their car. If a person has a certain budget in mind they will often do some research into the different types of new car that fall into their price bracket; they can then compare this with what they can afford if they go for a vehicle that is a few years old. Often by purchasing a used vehicle you are able to get far more for your money; for example, your budget may not be able to allow you to have the optional extras, such as air conditioning or leather seats, which you want in a brand new car. Buying a second hand car can sometimes pose its own problems. To get the best deals you are advised to view vehicles from a number of different outlets; often one dealership may be able to offer you a much better price than the other so take the time to do your research and do not rush into anything. If you do not have any mechanical knowledge then find a family member or friend who does and ask them to accompany you to the dealership; this way they can check the vehicle with you and may spot things that you are not aware of. If you are buying a brand new vehicle you are also advised to shop around. Different manufacturers may be running promotions that offer you extra benefits if you buy from them; you should always try to haggle with the dealership in order to secure their best offer and provide you with everything you need.
